Brian has been boatbuilding and restoring since 1973 and has worked on many different projects. He has been responsible for the restoration of a number of Essex smacks, has worked on several Lottery funded Historic Vessel restorations and builds the 12ft. GRP Smacks Boat, which is available in rowing and sailing versions.
Recent and up and coming projects include fitting out a Smacks Boat for a vicar in Devon, the complete Lottery funded restoration of the Kings Lynn Cockler 'Baden Powell', the restoration of the Chelmer Lighter 'Susan' and restoration of Maurice Griffiths yacht 'Storm. Brian mainly works in Essex but is prepared to travel further for an interesting project.
