Wooden boats have character and are as individual as the people who own them. Each wooden boat job is unique and this keeps life and work interesting. Whether repairing fishing boats on the west coast of Scotland, restoring classic yachts in the Mediterranean or teaching boatbuilding in Wales, my career has been varied.
I have also been involved in some unique non-marine construction projects which required wooden boatbuilding skills, such as lofting shapes and wood bending as well as producing lightweight composite parts.
