Selway Fisher Design was established by Paul Fisher BSc. MRINA., 30 years ago to offer an individual design and advice service for both amateur and professional boat builders. Previous to this Paul had worked in the design offices of McGruers and Silvers on the Clyde and covered both racing yachts and bespoke motor cruisers built in wood.
The Selway-Fisher catalogue has over 350 stock designs and covers both traditional and modern types and ranges from canoes, dinghies and dayboats to pocket cruisers, yachts, steam/electric launches and motor cruisers.
There are always 3 or 4 new designs on the drawing board mainly for strip plank, clinker/lapstrake and stitch and tape construction methods but design work is also undertaken in other materials.
