Thank you Water Craft magazine.

This month we’ve turned the spotlight on one of our affiliates - Water Craft magazine.

Founded in 1997 by Pete Greenfield, this beautiful international bi-monthly magazine specialises in providing content around affordable, environmentally-friendly boats in any boat building material - though they do love wood! From boat design to building individual boats, Water Craft has it covered.

As the new boat building season approaches, the September / October issue continues to include reviews, plans and more technical articles for all those boating enthusiasts. And our Members are not forgotten either, as Water Craft regularly reports on new techniques, tools, materials and equipment and includes informed and impartial boat reviews. Find out more here.

The magazine also has an excellent News section on their website, curated by Cat Holman.

Whilst we wax lyrical about Water Craft as a magazine, we also wanted to give a shout out to Kathy Mansfield, a freelance photography used by the magazine. She has very kindly allowed us to use some of her images throughout this website.

Kathy is a marine photographer that specialises in subjects such as classic yachts, regattas and boat festivals. She has over 185 galleries as well as 22,000 plus images online. A few examples that showcase some of her work are the British Classic Yacht Regatta in which Kathy captured classic yachts in action in the Solent.

As 2026 approaches and the new season is upon us, Kathy’s calendar is open for clients.
